Delving into personal visual realms daily is the basis for the artwork we create. Works are filled with our individual reactions to the spiritual and concrete realities of our physical universe. Creating art is our expressive outlet and a means to share with other humans our sensory, emotional and intellectual reactions to the present world. By exploring these sensibilities concerning the world we live in through the outlet of visual expression, we communicate our attitudes and the social currents of different human cultures. Ideas about physical and spiritual theories evolve. In this manner we find enlightenment.

For us the act of creation is always passionate, sometimes labored and concurrently both joyful and liberating. We compare the artistic process to birth, a catharsis or an epiphany. Creative exploration provides us with the fuel for inner growth and development. Art shapes and defines our individual life journey in an enriching way. Sharing with the brotherhood of humanity our diverse viewpoints and understanding concerning varied cultures within a visual construct is our artistic mission. We hope to inspire a passion for visual exploration in others so they too will see and experience the world in unexpected ways that open doors to spiritual awakenings.

Working in a wide range of disciplines including: painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, digital, collage, mixed media and whatever assists us in our passion to express ideas. Current artworks fall into the category of the pop and surreal movements showing a style that blends pop imagery, abstract expressionism, surrealism and symbolism. We refer to our recent style as “Pop Fusion” because it merges different styles and our creative energies as we address cultural concerns and explore the infinite subtleties of human behavior.

Card gaming suit symbols and face card characters are used extensively in these recent works to discuss human social and political activity. We see gaming and its structural elements reflective of the human need for status, dominance and territorial acquisition. Secondary thematic directions address psychological concerns, gender roles, political power, negotiation tactics and methods for social harmony. Compositions provide the viewer with underlying visual queues for prompting reflection on cultural, psychological, political, philosophical and religious themes.

Emotional energy and spirituality emanate from these compositions where pop culture images, personalized signature shapes and galaxy like symbols are orchestrated within the confines of two-dimensional space. Grounds and fields of dynamic abstract expressionist brushwork juxtapose with concrete card characters creating complex spatial relationships and unexpected optical color effects. Representational and abstract elements combine to create visual rhythm, tone and mood with strong psychological undercurrents.

Many human games including cards mirror quantum theory and the random aspects present in the mathematical laws of probability. This other thematic concern touches on universal questions about the physical universe and our human placement within this concrete reality. With atomic based signature symbols these works also hint at electrical power, magnetism and ideas concerning the constructive and destructive states of matter in our evolving and ever changing world of existence. These works engage the viewer in visual dialog about this shared human experience.
